In this tutorial we will use a type of blur effect in
shotcut to blur the background of a horizontal video clip.
Well, Sometimes, you find yourself in a position about a
thing you are in need and you don’t know whether you really have it or not. And
not knowing, you find another way to do your work which sometime takes time.
Instructional Tutorial:
Anyhow, I have recently created a tutorial about blurring
the background of a horizontal video clip where I,ve showed a work around of
blurring the background in shotcut whereas shotcut has a filter that does the
same work in seconds. And I have been informed about the filter in the comments
section by “DaRunningMan . And I highly appreciate the help and support.
Anyhow, lets use the concerned filter to blur the background
of a horizontal video clip and here you can see that I have already added the
concerned clip in the timeline after bringing it into the shotcut.
And, to blur the background, Select the clip, and click on
the filter tab. and if you don’t see the filter tab here you can find it here
in the tool bar then click on the plus sign and search a filter named blur then
from the provided options, select “Blur: Pad”.
Now, just select the top and bottom area and you can use the
slider to blur the background according to your need and this is how you can
blur the background of a horizontal video clip by using blur: pad filter and,

In this tutorial, we will see whether how we can make
collections on Redbubble and manage them.
Anyhow, here you can see that I have only two collections in
my Redbubble store so far. And before creating new collection, let’s see the
Redbubble article on creating and managing collections where we can read more
about creating and managing collections, and the two important points I want to
share with you are that Redbubble allows to have 30 collections per profile and
you can add upto 100 designs in one collection.

And the second point is that Redbubble is not allowing to
make a collection private so far. Which means, any design you will add to a
collection will go public right away.
Anyhow, Lets go back and select “Manage Portfolio” under
account to create collections. Here are the designs, I have uploaded so far and
when you click on collections button, you will be able to see all the created
collations.
Anyhow, to create collections, either you can select random
designs or you can select the related designs you want to make a collection of,
and as soon as you will select a design, a new tool bar will appear and after
selecting your concerned designs, click on “Collections” and write the name of
your collection and then click on the plus sign to add it to the list and then
select it and click on the “Add” button to add the designs into that collection
and here you can see that Redbubble is letting you know that your designs have
been added to your collection.
Now, click on the “Collections” button and here you can see
that a new collection has been created which You can also see on your shop by
refreshing the page.
Now, lets click on the gear icon to edit it. Here you can
change its name and add description. Well, to save time, I have already created
a short description and some general keywords related to the collections and
after writing your description, click on “Update Collection” and here you can
see that Redbubble is letting you know that the maximum length of description
should be 200 characters. So, adjust your collection description accordingly
and its ok if you don’t want to add the description but its always a good idea
to add some as it will help your designs to show up in the search.
Anyhow, here you can see that this design is being shown as
the cover image of the collection and if you want to change it, just click on
the gear icon of the design you want to show as cover image and select “Set as
Collection Cover”. And then refresh your shop page and here you can see that
the cover image has been changed. And if you want to remove a design from the
collection, you can remove it by selecting the “Remove from collection” option
under the gear icon.
Well, if you want to rearrange your collections on your
shop, you sure can do that, just go to Collections again and drag a collection
to change its position and here you can see that its been rearranged and if you
want to delete a collection from your list, just click on the gear icon and
select delete or you can select the collection first and then click here to
delete it and here you can see that its been deleted form the shop.
Well, if one of your collections is doing well, you can make
it prominent by showing it as a featured collection on your shop. So, to show a
collection as a featured collection, select “Account settings” under your
account and then select “Shop Settings” and here click on the “Choose
Collection” field dropdown and select the one you want to show as a featured
collection on your shop and then click on the “Save Settings” button and here
you can see that its been shown as a featured collection and when you will
refresh it again it will show all the designs you have added to this collection.
Anyhow, its just a matter of preference whether you want to
show your certain designs in a collection or not to increase your sales, but in
my opinion, its better to have one where you can show your best designs and
this is how you can create and manage your collections on Redbubble and I hope

In this tutorial, we will see how we can add blurred
background in a horizontal video clip in shotcut.
Anyhow, open your shotcut and here is the version I am doing
this on and drag your video clips to the timeline after bringing them to the
playlist. Well to add a blurred background, we need to have two identical video
clips, so add another video track by clicking on this button.
Instructional Tutorial:
Now go to the filters tab and search a filter named “Crop”, here we will have a few options to select
from, just select the third option which is “Crop: source” and crop your video
clip by using the sliders or writing the exact figures.
Now, copy the clip either by clicking here or by pressing “Ctrl
+ C” and paste it to the track we added earlier by pressing “Ctrl + V” and align
it. Now we have two identical horizontal tracks. Now, click on this “Eye”
button to hid the up-front track, so that we can see the track we want to add
as background. Now, apply another filter on the track you want to use as
background, named “Size, potion & rotate” and instead of making any change in
the “size, position & rotation”, just scroll down and bit and select
“Distort” option.
Now, search another filter named “blur” and select “Blur:
Gaussian” from the provided options and blur your background clip according to
your need either by using the slider or writing the exact figure. Now play it
to see whether how it looks. Well, It looks fine.
Now, select the other track and click on the eye button so
that we can see the track we added up front, Now play your video clip again and
here you can see that it looks pretty fine.
And, if it doesn’t look prominent, you can use another
filter on the background track named “Opacity” and can change the visibility of
the background track according to your need and then play it again to see how
it looks. Well, it looks better.
Now, lets I export the track with and without the opacity
filter and play it with some video player and here you can see that it looks
pretty fine with and without the opacity filter. Well, its just a matter of
preference whether what filter you want to use or not to make your video clip
appealing. Anyhow, this is how you can add a blurred background to a horizontal

protection on our Redbubble designs.
Now, go to your “Account activity” under account and here, the
first thing you need to do is to click on “protect your work” and select a
watermark option, here you will have some options to select from but the one I
recommend is the last one and then check this check-box to discourage people to
download your design and then click on save.
It will place a water mark on your
design and the Redbubble will make it hard for people to download your design and
this how your design will look like when you set up your design protection here
