There might be many reasons link posts are not working on your Facebook business page. Like, the link post will not work if the metadata is not properly available on the website since Facebook uses metadata of the website to get the link information from the website. Also, if the link is broken for some unexpected reasons, fakebook will be unable to open it. Also, if your page has some restriction due to violations, it may affect such posts too.

Other than the above mentioned issues, if you have changed your post settings and or tunned on get message feature while posting link posts, the link will not work. Facebook may have changed it recently that Send Message button and the Post Link will work together and it will open messenger window if one will interact with such a post on Facebook business page.

 

So, while posting, if you have turned on the get message feature on, you can turn it off by following the instructions below; 

·         Go to your Facebook business page

·         Create your post

·         Click on the ellipsis icon on the Create Post Window

·         Uncheck Get Message option
