Disable Autoplay on LinkedIn

It’s strange that many users dislike autoplay feature on linkedin. Its because that the platform is mainly used for professional purpose rather than entertainment purpose.

Anyhow, apparently there seems many reasons of disliking the autoplay feature and some of them are given below.

·         Can slow down performance

Multiple autoplay videos in the feed may affect app responsiveness, especially on older devices or weaker internet connections.

·         Attention fatigue

Constant motion in feeds increases cognitive load. Professionals often want a calmer browsing experience compared to platforms built for high stimulation.

·         Consumes mobile data and battery

Videos loading automatically can use significant bandwidth and battery life, especially for users on mobile networks or slower connections.

·         Reduces user control

People generally prefer choosing what to watch. Autoplay removes that decision and can create a feeling that content is being pushed onto them.

Anyhow, linkedin also gives the option to its user to disable it if they want. So, to disable it,

·         Sign in to your linkedin account

·         Click on your profile menu

·         Go to settings

·         Click on Autoplay videos

·         Select the first option which is “Never Autoplay videos”.

·         Check the tutorial below for full instructions

Anyhow, people who use linkedin for solely professional purpose, prefer to disable it to stay away from distractions.

Restore Your Metricool Account

Well, metricool is an online social media management tool that helps people take care of their social media. Think of it like a little helper that tells you when to post, shows what people liked, and keeps everything organized in one place. It’s like having a smart notebook for your social media accounts or presence.

Disable Autoplay on BlueSky

Bluesky is one of the popular social media platform where people share short messages, pictures, and ideas with friends and other people around the world. It is very similar to other social media platforms, but it gives people more control over what they see and how they use it.

The autoplay feature on Bluesky is when videos start playing by themselves while you are scrolling through the app. You do not have to press the play button as the videos start playing automatically as soon as they appear on your screen.

Many users of bluesky like to turn off the autoplay feature on Bluesky because it can use a lot of internet data and make the phone battery run out faster. It can also be noisy or distracting when videos suddenly start playing. Turning it off helps people save data, save battery, and look at videos only when they really want to watch them.

Restore Medium Account in 2026

Modern websites relying heavily on automated spam filters and AI moderation systems to protect their platforms from scams, misleading content, and fake accounts. While these systems are designed to improve security of the website, they often create serious problems for genuine users. Accounts can suddenly be suspended, restricted, or permanently banned without any clear explanation. In many cases, users spend years building their content, audience, and business presence, only to lose access because an automated system mistakenly flags normal behavior as suspicious activity.

The most frustrating part is the lack of human review. Many platforms depend so much on automation that appeals are either ignored or answered with generic responses. A real person may never actually examine the account. This leaves users feeling powerless, especially when their work, income, or personal projects depend on the platform.

Automated moderation systems are useful when balanced properly, but overreliance on them damages trust between websites and their users. Platforms should invest more in transparent policies, faster human support, and fair appeal systems. Technology can help detect abuse, but it should not replace common sense or human judgment when real people’s accounts and hard work are at stake.
