Generate barcodes in google sheet

In this tutorial, we will see how we can create barcodes in Google Sheet.

Anyhow, here you can see that I have a very basic product info table consist on four columns named” Product Code” “Product Name” and two others columns are “Barcodes” because I will show two ways of creating barcodes.

Instructional Tutorial:

Well, in the Product code column, I have product codes based on numbers and combination of alphabet and numbers. And, I have changed the formatting of the product code column by selecting it and changing the formatting to “Plain Text” under format tab.

Now, the first method of creating barcode is to use a font to convert a “Product code” into a barcode. Now, write a formula by adding the parenthesis and selecting the concerned cell where you have written your product code, and hit enter. Now our product code has been added here and all we need is to just change the font to turn it into a barcode and here you can see that I don’t have a concerned font to change it into a barcode. So, search “barcode” by going to “More Fonts”.

Here you can see that many options have shown-up and for the sake of example, I am selecting this one, and then click on “OK” and here you can see that the product code has been converted into a barcode. And if you don’t want to use parenthesis, you can just remove them. and since I haven’t locked the formula by adding the dollar signs, i can just drag the formula down to create all.

And, the second way of creating barcode is to use online services. So, search “free online barcode generator” on your search engine and use the one of your choice and for the purpose of example, I am using this one. Now, just copy your product code and paste it here and then click on “Generate Barcode” button to create it. Now, click here and copy this link,

then, go back to your sheet and create a formula named “Image” and here you can see that we need to put the link into inverted commas. So, paste the link by adding inverted commas and then hit enter and here you can see that the barcode has been generated.

Well, since the barcode has been created by hardcoding the product code value in the link, we can make it dynamic by replacing it with the “Cell Address”.

So, just find the value and add the product code cell address using the quotation marks and & and then hit enter after deleting the hardcoded value and then drag the formula down to create all barcodes.

Moreover, the barcodes are fully dynamic, which means, if you make any change in the product code, it will automatically update the barcode too.

Anyhow, this is how you can create barcodes in google sheets and I hope this will be helpful for someone out there and thanks for watching.

Generate QR Codes in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

In this tutorial, we will see whether how we can create QR Codes in MS Office Docs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Well, here you can see that I have links of my profile from different platforms for which i want to create QR Codes and, to create QR Codes, we need to install an add-in which can help us in this regard. So click on “My Add-ins” under the “insert” tab to see whether you already have it or not and here you can see that I haven’t installed any add-ins so far.

Instructional Tutorial:

So, to download and install the add-ins, click on “Get Add-ins”. It will open “Office Add-ins” window, where you can search your concerned add-ins and, in my case, its QR Codes. well, it showed many options and you can choose one of your choice and for the purpose of example. I am adding this one.

After downloading and installing, it will show-up on the pane and if it doesn’t open the pane, just click on “My Add-ins” and click on “add” after selecting it. It will open in the pane and you can create your QR Codes right away.

Well, here you will have many options to select from like you can create QR Codes for Websites, Telephone, SMS, etc. and for the purpose of example, I am creating QR Codes for my website with “https protocol” option. So, select “https” here and then write or copy-paste your website address.

Well, you can not-only increase or decrease the size of your QR Code, but-also you can change its main and background color by using these options. And if for some reason, your QR Code seems broken due to another image on top of it, you can change such error correction too by choosing an option here and then just click on the “Insert” button to add it into your file and then just place and resize it according to your need.

And exactly the same way, you can create your QR Codes on Word and PowerPoint. Moreover, you can also save it as an image for future use. Anyhow, this how you can create QR Codes and hope this will be helpful for someone out there and thanks for watching.

Generate Barcodes in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

In this tutorial, we will see whether how we can add barcodes in MS Office Docs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Well barcoding is a great way of not-only tracking the inventory but-also it improves the sales process as it provides the concerned information quite conveniently and accurately.

Instructional Tutorial:

Anyhow, here you can see that I have a very basic product info table consist on three columns named” Product Code” “Product Name”, and “Barcodes”.

Well, in the Product code column, I have product codes based on numbers and combination of alphabet and numbers.

And to create barcodes, we need to change the formatting from numbers to text and since nothing else will to be written in the column in my case, i can select the whole column and can change the formatting either by clicking the dropdown here and selecting text, or I can click on this arrow and selecting “text” under the “Number” tab.

Now, write a formula by adding the parenthesis and selecting the concerned cell where you have written your product code, and hit enter. Now our product code has been added here and all we need is to just change the font to turn it into a barcode and here you can see that I don’t have a concerned font to change it into barcode. So, search “free barcode fonts” on your search engine and find one of your choice to download.

And for the sake of example, I am downloading this one, it will be downloaded into a zip file which you can extract with an extractor of your choice. Since, I have installed “Winrar”, I can just right click on it and extract the files by selecting “Extract Here”.

Now, just install the font by running this set-up file and after installing, open your excel file and search the installed font and here you can see that it’s been installed and all we need is to just select the cell we want to change into barcode and then change its font and here you can see that the barcode has been created and since I haven’t locked the formula by adding the dollar signs, i can just drag the formula down to create all.

Well, the barcodes are dynamic too, which means, if you make any change in the product code, it will automatically update the barcode too.

Well, Exactly the same way, you can create barcodes in Word and PowerPoint. Remember, if the font does not appear in the fonts list after installing, then just close your MS office docs and re-open them and then you will be able to see the font and can apply it to create barcodes and I hope this will be helpful for someone out there and thanks for watching.
